"I've been visiting this pub for 20 years with good fortune of living close to it for some of those. It's a classic old Irish pub with no music playing, TVs only turned on for big events, real fires burning and a comfortable heated outdoor smoking area. About
One of Dublin’s oldest pubs, Byrnes of Galloping Green was established in 1879, has been owned and managed by the same family for the last four generations, with current owner and manager Ray Byrne being the great grandson of Philip Byrne who built and ran the pub when it first opened in the late 1800s.
Not much has changed inside here. If it's not broke, don't fix it!

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic Byrnes Galloping Green public house had to close its doors to adhere to and respect government guidelines. To continue to serve our customers (albeit in a somewhat different capacity) Galloping Green Social was launched - A takeaway coffee hatch.
Serving Irish owned / roasted 250 Square speciality coffee, BIG and seriously tasty locally produced sandwiches, juices and lots more treats all from other local businesses.
Be sure to pick up a loyalty card when you come.

This quiet and dignified pub is a real South Dublin gem. From the comfy furnishings to the excellent and friendly staff, to the delicious toasties and best of all a truly cracking pint. One of the best Guinness in Dublin and at a reasonable price. Nothing bad to say about the lovely Galloper

Been getting my coffee at this place the last couple of weeks guys. Just wanna say they’re doing a great job, it’s lovely coffee all my work colleagues love it and it’s a god send to have somewhere within walking distance that finally does decent coffee! The staff are also so welcoming and doing a fantastic job too. Keep up the good work
